Small groups are a great place to connect with others in our congregation.
We are a family at EGCC, and one of the ways that we cultivate that atmosphere is in Connections small groups. Small groups are a great place to connect with others who share your love for God and have similar interests. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens the countenance of his friend”. Also, the writer of Hebrews encourages us, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Heb. 10:24 NIV). We believe it is our responsibility to each other, as family, to strengthen and encourage each other in our individual walks with God.
We all want a place “where everybody knows our name,” a place where we are a significant part of a caring community. Connections small groups are that place!
As EGCC continues to grow larger, belonging to a small group becomes more significant. Jesus walked with multitudes, yet He remained part of a close-knit small group. Please take time to invest in a small group . . . the rewards are great and the dividends are eternal.
