At Essex Gospel, we're all about Jesus.
We want you to feel at home when you come through our doors. You can wear anything that you feel comfortable in - whether that is a t-shirt, shirt & tie, dress or jeans. We are much more concerned with what happens on the inside than what you wear on the outside.
Our Mission
Show love, share hope, and find home. At Essex Gospel, we strive to show love, share hope, and help people find home through various ministries that we run at the church. From mid-week programs, missionary work, and community events, having a positive impact on the community of Essex is very important to us. Christ wants us to make an impact here and not just wait for heaven.
Our Vision
Making Christ known through sharing his love. The bible says, “Everyone will know we are believers by our love.” We do our best to demonstrate that every time we meet. We value God, People, Community, Growth, and Missions. The basis for these values can be found in Acts 2:42-47.
Our Beliefs
We believe in the living and active Holy Spirit inspired Word of God (the Bible); that there is only one God eternally existing in three persons (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). That we (humanity) could never free ourselves from our sin, but rely solely on the abundant grace of our Savior Jesus Christ that has redeemed us through His sacrifice on the cross.
Today we await the second coming of our King, Jesus, as a global Church united by His Holy Spirit, which is still active today healing and performing miracles. We are a church affiliated with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Our official belief statements can be found here.
